Is an elite benefit exclusive to elite members, which allows them to transfer miles for free between the accounts of family members enrolled in the group, making it easier and faster to accrue and redeem miles.

 Frequently asked questions about family group.

  • What do I have to do to access the family group benefit?

To have the family group benefit and create your own group, you must be a lifemiles member, have any elite status or cenit recognition and be over 18 years old.

  • How many people can I include in my group?

You can include up to 1 lifemiles member who is over 18 years old and up to 5 lifemiles members under 18 years old, so that you have a total of 7 people. Members could have or not an elite status.

  • Where can I log in to create my group?

You must log in through or the lifemiles App to the Elite benefits section.

  • What happens if one of my family members in my group turns 18?

The system will automatically recognize and deactivate him/her from the group.

  • What are the implications if a member is deactivated from a group?

It implies that the head cannot longer transfer miles from/to the deactivated member's account, member cannot join another group until he/she is removed from the current group, which will happen once the cut-off date for the elite status of the head is reached, and head cannot replace this member for another one until the cut-off date for the elite status.

  • How can I find out the cut-off date of the group?

The date is informed in the mail sent to the head and members when they agree to be part of the group.

  • What do I have to do to transfer miles among the members of a group?

Only the head can transfer miles among the members that are part of the group, this process can be done through the head family group landing.

  • Does the transfer of miles from the family group have any cost?

No, the transfer through this benefit is free of charge.

  • What happens if I lose my elite status?

On each cutoff date, the system validates if the elite member keeps any elite status.  If the status is lost, the group will be automatically eliminated. 

  • What happens to my group if I change the level of my elite status?

The group remains valid even if you have changed the level, as the requirement is to have some elite status.
